In short this is a book that will inform you of everything that you shouldn’t do when writing a YA book, and it does it in a fun way that not only makes you remember it, but also not feel lectured.

The main problem with this whole book though is at the same time the humorous writing style. It’s gets hard to read a whole book from Broody’s POV, especially the beginning was nearly impossible for me to get in to. It’s like reading page after page of funny tweets. I think this might be a book that you read in sections over a long period of time, not something you read in one sitting.

But if you’re a writer or a fan of YA, don’t hesitate to pick this up, you’re in for a fun read.

Get you copy on Amazon.

by Carrie DiRisio I got this as an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
